#AWP27 Registration

All conference registrations must be purchased online or on-site with a credit or debit card. We do not accept checks or cash. All registrations are final and nonrefundable. If you are uncertain whether you will attend the conference in person, please wait to purchase.

Registration Rates & Periods

An in-person registration for #AWP27 includes admission to all events, readings, panel discussions, meetings, the bookfair, public receptions over the days of the conference, and virtual events. Meals, lodging, and travel are not included. Hotel and travel information will become available to all registered attendees on August 31st, 2026. Visit the Attendee Service Center to view hotel information.

*If you do not see the student rate available to you when purchasing your registration, please reach out to the administrator of your AWP member academic program. If you do not have membership associated with an academic program and are not able to view the student rate when purchasing, please reach out to awp@awpwriter.org.

**The Saturday Pass can be purchased online beginning in early 2027 or on-site on Saturday, March 20, 2027, and includes admission to all conference events (except private receptions), as well as the bookfair. Saturday-only registrations do not include virtual access.

If you’re not able to join us in Chicago, Illinois, for the in-person AWP Conference & Bookfair, tune in from wherever you are with a virtual registration!

 

With the virtual registration, you’ll be able to do the following:

  • Submit to the #AWP27 Writer to Agent opportunity! Through this popular program, you can submit a query letter and writing sample to be considered by dozens of literary agents from several excellent literary agencies.
  • Watch the live streamed “Ask an Agent Anything” featured event
  • Watch over 15 additional live streamed featured events from the conference
  • Access over 20 hours of on-demand conference video content 
  • Take your time and see it all! Access replays of all live streamed events and all on-demand video content for an additional month after the conference.

Register for the virtual #AWP27 Conference!


Presenters on accepted events can register through the Presenter Service Center. Presenter registration includes admission to all events, readings, panel discussions, meetings, the bookfair, public receptions over the days of the conferences, and virtual events. Presenters must be linked to an accepted event to be eligible for the discounted rate. Meals, lodging, and travel are not included. Visit the Presenter Service Center to view hotel information.

*Virtual presenters who do not wish to attend the conference outside of presenting on their prerecorded panel are not required to purchase a registration. All other presenters must purchase a registration to participate in their event.

**Presenters are eligible for a discounted $49 one-year membership with AWP if it’s purchased as a bundle with their registration. Add an AWP membership to your cart when registering to gain access to our extensive member benefits.

Group registration allows you to purchase a number of registrations without filling out each attendee’s personal information at the time of purchase. See the above in-person and virtual registration sections for pricing information.

Once you’ve made your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email with a registration code to distribute to your attendees. Attendees can redeem this code by filling out their respective registration form in the sections above. View the Group Registration Summary to find a list of the individuals who have redeemed the code. Please ensure that you only give the code out to your attendees.
