Bookfair Overview

An annual showcase of hundreds of exhibitors, the AWP Bookfair is the nation’s largest marketplace for independent literary presses and journals, creative writing programs, writing conferences and centers, and literary arts organizations. Secure an exhibit space for your press or organization to reach thousands of writers, readers, teachers, and literary tastemakers. The bookfair runs concurrently with AWP’s annual conference and is open to all registered conference attendees.

#AWP27 Bookfair Exhibit Space Packages

Organization contacts were sent an email inviting them to exhibit with us for #AWP27 on April 27th, 2026. Ensure you are also checking spam or junk folders! To purchase, click the link in your invitation email and secure your space! If you did not receive an email, contact bookfairservices@awpwriter.org with your organization name and ensure you have an account set up in our system.

Early bird rates available until November 19, 2026 and preregistration rates begin November 20, 2026.

Pre-Registration: $1,500
includes the following:

10′ x 10′ space (100 sq. ft. with 8′ high back drape)
two 6′ x 2′ draped tables, two chairs, one wastebasket
one printed bookfair ID sign
premium location in the heart of the bookfair
two exhibitor registrations covering full conference registration
listing on the online exhibitor list, floorplan and mobile app

Looking to Co-Exhibit?
Up to two organizations can share one exhibit space package, however there is a $100.00 co-exhibitor fee to accommodate additional administrative costs required to host multiple exhibitors at one space. Co-exhibitors are limited to (1) per 10' x10' booth package or 4′ x 7′ table package. One organization must purchase the exhibit space.

Rolling Launch

Exhibit space locations are self-selected using a tiered system based on cumulative years of exhibiting with AWP. Please note your years exhibited are calculated based on previous years exhibited and does not include your 2027 purchase. For example, if you have exhibited for 4 years and 2027 will be your 5th year exhibiting, you would be in the 5+ Years category starting for 2028's selection. Exhibitors who have purchased their space will receive an email and code allowing them to choose their space within their assigned selection window. After the rolling launch, the selection code will no longer be necessary, and exhibitors may purchase packages and select locations at any time. Selection periods begin at noon eastern / nine am pacific.
